Job Description


Provide technical expertise to CADsoft Consulting, Inc.'s clients (ENI - Engineering Natural Resources and Infrastructure Systems Design) in the support of Autodesk Core AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Map 3D, Infraworks 360, Navisworks, Raster Design, Vehicle Tracking, SSA, ReCAP 360 Pro etc. software products. In addition; Software installation to include network deployment administration; working knowledge of basic Hardware, Windows XP - 10; pre & post-sales support (on and offsite), training, project mentoring, customer demonstrations, customer technical support and assist in other products or service the company offers. Employment is full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday and may include some travel outside normal business hours.

  • Candidate must have a min 7 yrs. design experience with Autodesk - Civil 3D ver2016+
  • Candidate must have a min 2 yrs. experience with the use of Autodesk Map 3D or working knowledge of Map functionality inside Civil 3D
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of small to large-sized audiences
  • Customer support minded and friendly
  • Working knowledge of Hardware and Windows Operating Systems (Client and Network) to troubleshoot installation issues
  • Candidates must have five years of experience with large / medium projects in Civil Engineering or a related field. Candidate to considered as the expert "go to" using Civil 3D. You need to be a self-starter, and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be familiar with database design and integration (for GIS)
  • Professional registration (PE) or EIT certifications are a plus
  • Point Cloud, Lidar and Survey experience is a plus


• Provide training, implementations and technical support on all assigned modules, either on-site at customer location or in-house

• Project Mentoring and software Customization services for clients

• Support Internal Customers i.e.; Sales and Marketing for customer demonstrations, seminars, conference calls, blogs, presales client visits etc.

• Provide mentoring and support services as necessary for New Mexico Department of Transportation to help fulfill support contract expectations

• Attend all necessary training classes to become and stay current with all software the employer supports

• Stay current with all Autodesk product certification requirements

• Perform standalone and network software installations and configurations as necessary

• Participate in production of CADsoft Consulting's newsletter

• Must be willing to learn new software, technologies, and other processes in support of Infrastructure Team

• Have a great people person attitude and passion for Civil 3D

• Enjoy helping individuals and teaching groups

• Communicate well; define clear tasks verbally and in writing

• Have an understanding of the different industry workflows, Engineers, Architects, Contractors and how they work together

• Participate when necessary to incoming customer calls and emails when assigned to Help Desk

• Log all customer questions and problems and track the issues through to resolution with use of Contact Record Management System (CRM). This includes timely recording of problem symptoms and status information in an effort to communicate with and properly utilize Autodesk support technicians and senior Professional Services group staff

• Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support

• Build team spirit by assisting other staff members

• Follow management direction on assigned tasks

• Request direction when not assigned a task

• Work on special projects as assigned by Management Team

• Obtain product certification on AutoCAD, Civil 3D on e-learning portal within 90-day probation period and any other product certifications as assigned

• Notify technical team of defects identified in software

• Participate in production of CADsoft Consulting's newsletter and website by providing technical content if requested by Marketing or Management

• Work w/ Support Manager to establish support procedures and guidelines in accordance with business goals and objectives

• Provide proactive / global solutions to reduce support calls and elevate CADsoft as the Technical Experts in the AEC industry

• Establishes and maintains relationships with technical services and sales teams

• Travel, as necessary up to 25% (typically between Arizona and New Mexico)
