The Admissions Coordinator will work as a member of the enrollment management team to assist prospective students with the admissions process for Ross University School of Medicine. This position works under moderate supervision in performing a variety of administrative tasks that require a degree of independent judgment and discretion in processing. The Admissions Coordinator performs tasks in support of admissions activities that include processing applications, providing good customer service via email and phone calls, handling faxes, filing, operating office equipment and utilizes Internet applications and student databases.

  • Accurately processes applications and documents by entering information into the student database
  • Manages the receipt of new documents and updates checklist items for all applicants
  • Follows up with applicants as necessary to move them forward in the admissions process
  • Documents changes in applicant status
  • Obtains transcripts and prepares Interview Summary Sheets for qualified applicants
  • Receives incoming calls from applicants; refer and escalate calls as necessary
  • Maintains data integrity in the Admissions database
  • Other projects and duties as assigned


Polished interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and managers. Superior verbal, organizational, written and professional telephone skills with customer service focus. This person must be a quick learner in a fast-paced office environment and demonstrate accuracy in data entry using multiple student database systems. The person in this position should be knowledgeable with all Microsoft Office products and Internet applications. Previous experience with Salesforce CRM a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience working in an institution of higher education a plus
