Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Linguistics seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2017, Spring 2018 and Summer 2018 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need may include but is not limited to:
LING 3040 Language and Power
LING 3060 Principles of Language Study (non-majors)
LING 3070 Introduction to Linguistics (majors)
LING 3090 Discourse Analysis
LING 4080/LING 5080 Teaching Methods of ESL
LING 5040 Principles of Linguistics

MA in Linguistics or related field; teaching experience.
PhD or coursework in Linguistics or a related field towards a PhD preferred. Research in Linguistics and experience teaching one or more of the anticipated courses is also a plus.
