The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time (12-month) tenure-track position with primary responsibility as the chief academic officer to lead efforts toward achievement of successful strategic outcomes for student learning and academic programming in the College and University.

This position will hold responsibilities for instruction and instructional support services, student learning outcomes, academic program outcomes, academic clinical partnerships and regulatory standards. In addition, this position will guide and oversee the direction of accreditation standards for academic programs, foster intensive scholarly activities related to academic programming and student learning outcomes, promotes faculty development, advocates for the instruction mission and serves in ex-officio capacity on standing academic program committees.

The ideal candidate will have a doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree or comparable doctorate in nursing; at least eight years of clinical and administrative experience in a college or school of nursing; experience in teaching and mentoring; a strong record of leadership and working with teams; evidence of extramural funding and scholarly productivity including peer reviewed publications and presentations; a record of successful student learning and academic program outcomes as well as forging academic partnerships. The candidate must be eligible for or hold Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Education

Doctorate in nursing from an accredited college or university, confirmed by an official transcript from the degree-granting institution. Master's degree in Nursing.

Required Related Experience

Minimum of eight years experience with clinical and academic nursing leadership in a college or school of nursing, strong administrative and management capabilities, and an established recognition of scholarship and national prominence required.

Required License/ Registration/Certification

Registered Nurse (Eligible for or hold in the State of Kentucky).
