Job Description

The University of Missouri has an opening for an ABR certified and fellowship trained clinician-scientist in any subspecialty area of radiology. All ranks and tenure or non-tenure tracks. Applicants with a strong history of publication and extramural funding desired. With hiring of a new chair, Department of Radiology is poised enrich and expand clinical, educational and research opportunities for faculty and trainees. http://medicine.missouri.edu/news/0289.php . There is excellent existing infrastructure for imaging based research in small animal imaging, whole body MRI, radiopharmaceutical development, nano and molecular medicine, and neuroscience. An expansion of the radiology research infrastructure is underway. Enjoy the support of the chair and the institution as you grow your research program at MU. Faculty rank and position will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The faculty member will have the opportunity to assist in the growth of the radiologic services, education of medical students, residents and fellows, as well as participate in research and scholarly activities. The available equipment is state-of-the-art. Approximately 250,000 exams are performed each year serving the University Hospital & Clinics, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The department also has a stand-alone Imagining Center with MRI, US, CT and X-Ray capabilities.




Qualifications

Candidates must have a MD or equivalent, board certified or eligible, fellowship training and successful completion of a residency in radiology.
Candidates will be assessed based upon educational and professional achievement. Communication skills, experience working effectively in diverse environments and letters of reference will all be considered in selection of a candidate. Potential for candidate to work within the framework of the diagnostic radiology service will be assessed. Applicants should be prepared to prove eligibility to be employed in this position in accordance with all applicable laws.




Salary

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
