Civil Engineering Technology Tenure Track Faculty - Commencing Fall 2017
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the civil engineering field, and effective interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, or current enrollment with significant progress in a Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is preferred. Successful completion of a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is a condition of continuous employment.
This full-time, ten-month faculty position is in the Civil Engineering Technology Program of the Physical Sciences, Engineering and Applied Technologies Department (PSAT). The MVCC Civil Engineering Technology Program is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accrediting Board for Engineering Technology (ETAC-ABET).
Responsibilities include instruction for a wide range of courses in the program and other duties within the Department as well as the College as assigned. Candidates must have the ability to teach civil engineering technology related courses in both the classroom and the laboratory setting.
