Faculty Research Support Specialist #004019
The Research Development Specialist works with faculty and staff to support, facilitate, and enhance research across the Boyer Model of Scholarship. The Specialist will perform the following duties:
*Consult with faculty on an individual and/or group basis regarding appropriate research design, methods, statistical model, and evaluation for faculty scholarship and proposal development
*Provide training and assistance for qualitative and quantitative research projects
*Assist faculty in the use of research software, such as SPSS, SAS, Qualtrics, ArcGIS, Atlas.ti, R, NVivo and others
*Facilitate collaborative and peer-to-peer research support
*Develop communication strategies for the Coulter Faculty Commons with regard to available research support
*Assist the CFC with other projects directly affecting the unit as assigned
Minimum Training & Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education Research, Statistics, or related field (Ph.D. preferred), expertise in quantitative and qualitative research design and analysis. Ph.D. preferred, experience with research software such as SPSS, SAS, R, Atlas.ti, NVivo (and others) also preferred.
Ph.D. in Higher Education Research, Statistics, or related field from accredited institution preferred.
