Job Description

The Sales/Marketing Trainee "STEP Program" walks the trainee through all facets of the business, spending time in each of the following seven "steps":
1. Orientation to STEP Program
2. Safety and Environmental
3. Ferrous
4. Non-Ferrous
5. Transportation
6. Support Services
7. Steel Dynamics

Trainees will see the big picture, from what it takes to work in a scarp yard, to the details of running an industrial operation, to how to interact with customers and design marketing plans. At the end of the program, the goal of each trainee is to be immersed into the business and gain a big picture perspective of the company.

OmniSource, LLC is one of North America's largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, resell, and trade a wide variety of ferrous and nonferrous scrap.
