Associate Director – Career Advisor
The Associate Director, Career Advising for the Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) program is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing career advising and coaching programs for the MFE program. The MFE program prepares students for technically sophisticated jobs with financial institutions, financial service providers, suppliers of financial consulting services, financial software and systems providers, and in corporate treasuries. This position is responsible for all aspects of preparing MFE students for their internship and full-time job search, which includes skill building workshops and individualized counseling. The Associate Director will act as an advisor to determine the most effective recruiting strategies for student placement in internships and full-time positions. MFE career counseling duties may include: (1) one-on-one counseling sessions, (2) student outreach, (3) program development and execution, (4) development and implementation of workshops and seminars designed to meet MFE students' career needs, (5) serve as central liaison in organizing workshops, presentations and discussions, (6) developing annual activity calendar, (7) develop and analyze annual statistical and historical reports for recruiting activities, (8) handling logistical details for recruiting along with attendance at recruiting events to insure the company's needs/requests have been met, (9) maintaining career services website for students, data tracking, organizing databases, and managing on-line recruiting tools, (10) make improvements to program based on statistical data and company/student feedback, (11) other programmatic career services initiatives. May include travel.
