Web Developer



Position Summary:

The Web Developer position is responsible for developing moderate to complex web applications as well as dynamic and responsive web applications using, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and other modern web development languages. This position will work with other web developers to aid in accomplishing the projects set before the Web Services team. The Web Developer will also perform various duties as assigned in support of the mission of the Web Services team.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline is required.

Excellent programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS as well as modern web standards across current browsers and devices, adequate knowledge of relational database systems (SQL), Object Oriented Programming and web application development.

Familiarity with at least four of the following programming languages and frameworks: JavaScript, jQuery, Coldfusion, XML, XSLT, .NET, C#, PHP, APIs. Familiarity with developing within hosted Content Management Systems.

Knowledge of development in Sharepoint 2013 environment and ability to understand Sharepoint Portal experience from a power user level or higher.

Two to five years of relevant experience. Candidate must have demonstrated project management skills using SDLC methodology as well as strong customer service skills demonstrated through excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication.

Ability to create cross-departmental cooperation to facilitate project success through dealing tactfully and effectively with end users at all levels of the organization and with differing levels of technical ability. Work in a team environment, and be a strong team player.

Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.



Preferred Qualifications:

Experience of working with Adobe Creative Suite with expert proficiency in Dreamweaver and Acrobat.

Knowledge of Infopath, Sharepoint Designer, and VISIO.

Knowledge of mobile application development.

Knowledge of UNIX environment.

Working knowledge of version control.

Knowledge of working in different environments.
