Duties: The Associate Director of the Robert A. Fox Leadership Program is responsible for all facets of the Fox-PRRUCS (Program for Research on Religion and Urban Civil Society) Faith & Service Partners (FSP) unit. The Associate Director recruits and supervises FSP undergraduate, graduate, and recent alumni fellows and supervises any related research and service-learning initiatives; organizes and coordinates public events and panels on selected topics; develops and maintains good relations with selected Fox and PRRUCS senior fellows, affiliated faculty members, and post-doctoral or graduate fellows; co-facilitates on-campus PRRUCS Common Good for Common Ground meetings; manages external relations with selected Fox and PRRUCS donors and institutional partners; and oversees special projects including but not limited to efforts to bring the papers of one or more leading thinkers on philosophy and religion to the Penn library system. Other Duties as assigned. This is a five year term appointment.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in History with a focus on religious history and culture and experience as founder, executive director, or manager of a nonprofit organization with an educational mission related to leadership, religion, history, or culture is required. The Associate Director must have a proven record of success in fund-raising and donor relations; and at least two years of experience teaching at the Lecturer level or above at a highly competitive college or university.
