General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Assistant Recruiter for the High School Equivalency Program (HEP). The Temporary Assistant Recruiter for the Program will assist in the recruitment and data management for the CAMP program to ensure eligibility, administrative and recruitment goals are met. Position is contingent upon continued grant's funding. This position will report to the HEP Project Director and will execute all duties and responsibilities as described below. Work schedule will be up to 40 hours a week, non-benefit with an anticipated end date in September 2017.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Temporary Assistant Recruiter will:
  • Assist in identifying and maintaining eligible HEP participant's files.
  • Travel to various educational entities and agricultural related venues to promote the program and identify potential participants.
  • Maintain electronic spreadsheets and physical data management systems, including, but not limited to: the interest card & application filling processes; the certificate of eligibility (COE) and fax binders.
  • Perfrom administrative duties and other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organization skills
  • Have knowledge of various software and general computer skills (efficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Ability to manage various tasks, prioritize duties and meet deadlines.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; Associates degree or some college is preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred, working in a college or university setting, preferably in student recruitment, admissions or student affairs
  • Data management and assessment experience is ideal
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience working with academically under prepared students
  • Must possess reliable transportation with valid driver's license
