Position Summary

Successful candidate will perform a full range of mental health care at Olin Student Health Center while collaborating with other departments; the successful candidate would be committed to understanding the special needs of university students.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of more than three years of study beyond a four-year college degree, such as a Medical Doctorate or Osteopathic Doctorate degree; up to six months of related experience in a clinical environment after completion of residency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and a license from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy and either the Michigan Board of Medicine or the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery; and board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with college age students and a multi-cultural inter national population; experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team; outpatient psychiatry experience including psychopharmacology, crisis intervention and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, eating disorders and psychotic disorders; experience in peer review, quality improvement initiatives and electronic medical records.
