Staff Engineer FRIB/NSCL-Continuing
Operate the cryogenic plants independently, which requires personnel to be on-call 24/7 regularly on a yearly cycle; Lead installation commissioning operation of cryomodules and cryogenic equipment; Lead the cryogenic testing of cryomodules and SRF structures; Lead the installation, commissioning and cryogenic operation of superconducting magnets and cryogenic equipment; Lead special operations (start, stop and recover cryoplants); Perform system analysis to determine heat loads, budgets and test verification; Perform failure analysis of cryogenic components, distribution systems and loads; Prepare analysis reports; Assist subject matter experts in reviewing design layouts, budgets, project documentation, construction, testing, modification of hardware and software and/or the installationof sub-systems; Lead the maintenance of the cryogenic systems, distribution systems and loads; and provide technical direction to support staff and students.
Masters -Mechanical EngineeringMinimum Requirements
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ year’s experience with large-scale cryogenic systems at 2K and 4K.
