The IT Shared Services Department at the University of North Texas System is seeking to hire an IT Admin and Planning Analyst to join their team. This position provides high level support for the management and administration of business processes and financial activities associated with information systems, IT management practices, financial systems, project and problem management practices, and IT contracts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing metrics measuring allocation, productivity and efficiency activities, assisting with the development and compilation of financial reports, negotiating and administering expensive, complex contracts for enterprise software, hardware, administration of software license services, and other special projects. Work is performed independently within established guidelines. This position may supervise projects or other work performed by information technology staff or other groups.Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:* Negotiate new contracts and approve renewals.* Develop and administer cost models for IT services including development of chargeback pricing and cost allocation reports.* Administer enterprise contracts. * Manage the distribution of enterprise software. * Gather metrics required by vendors to determine compliance.* Defend compliance challenges.* Manage 5 year ITSS Financial Forecast* Assist the Business Director with Developing and Managing ITBM (IT Business Management)The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. * Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department.* Knowledge of contract and vendor management functions* Knowledge of software licensing and business analytics* Knowledge of business management principles* Ability to supervise and train subordinates. * Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate)* Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware. * Ability to work independently * Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information. * Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed
