University of North Texas - ERP Functional Analyst

The System Business Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a ERP Functional Analyst to join our team. The ERP Functional Analyst performs highly complex (senior-level) ERP functional systems support work. Work involves providing support for departmental functional users for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Provides end user training, resolution of problems or issues, testing of upgrades or changes, initiates requests for user security, creating reports, and recommending changes to existing user functionality. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of Financial Systems Support.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Implement new EIS (PeopleSoft) functionality in conjunction with ITSS staff and/or consultants. Includes need and fit/gap analysis, system functional setup/configuration, testing, data validation.* Resolve EIS functionality issues, in conjunction with ITSS technical staff. Includes problem identification, providing specifications, testing, and signoff.* First-line of defense and support for departmental users with EIS application related issues and questions.* Coordinate testing and sign off on required PeopleSoft maintenance changes.* Assign/revoke EIS user security to manage access for entering/exiting staff.* Create new EIS security access roles to allow access to new system functionality. Modify existing security access roles if needs change or during upgrades.* Represent at technical/functional user group meetings including ACES (security), Campus Community (shared data issues), EIS Users Group, EIS Project Implementation group, ad hoc groups.* Create/modify reporting queries and provide output to requestors to provide internal users and wider campus users data extracts to support their job functions.* Document a variety of business processes, both for internal functional/technical use and for end-users to ensure that processes and setup info can be shared with others and outlast any staff turnover.* Facilitate in-house training and "change management" activities associated with systems usage, maintenance changes or new functionality implementations to ensure users understand how to properly use the systems.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math, or related business field and three years of progressively responsible business analysis or business functional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:* Extensive functional knowledge of PeopleSoft modules, such as finance, budget, payroll, payments, and student finance* Basic knowledge of the methods used in application development and support, including system analysis and design, and system testing techniques* Strong skill in writing requirements and testing plans for computer applications* Strong skill in analyzing and solving complex data processing and business application problems* Ability to coordinate a work in a project team for specific tasks or assignments* Ability to perform detailed work accurately and work independently* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical staff* Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively both orally and in writing
