University of North Texas - Assistant Director II
The Housing-Custodial Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Assistant Director II to join our team. This position will directly supervise the housing custodial crew leaders as well as provide oversight to all housing custodial staff to facilitate consistent and coordinated direction and structure to the unit. This position will also provide supervision to the Facility Assistant staff including selection, training and on-going coordination of the group's work. This position will assist with coordination and execution of tasks to support project completion in conjunction with Housing and UNT Facilities. The position will provided leadership to building service related activities in alignment with strategic and responsive implementation of departmental goals and objectives. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Provides direct supervision to Custodial Crew Leaders and the entire custodial staff. Provides supervision to the Facility Assistant staff and Special Assistants that support daily oversight of work. * Provides leadership for departmental building services, including: strategic deployment of staff and resources, coordination of daily operations, completion of project related tasks, and recommendations for improvement projects within the halls. * Develops plans for allocation of area's budget, approves purchases, tracks expenditures, approves requests, manages student payroll, and leads initiatives as related to departmental financial priorities.* Participates as mid-level management for housing and residence life and is available for response to emergencies to assist and support hall staff. Relays crisis response and relevant information to housing administration, university police, risk management, and the office of facilities.* Participates in campus events and activities as a representative of the department. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
