Academic Program Specialist IIJob Description:
Responsible for assisting with the coordination of the online Dual Enrollment program, helps oversees acceptance and enrollments, student support, school district relations, and marketing
- Expands access to the university to qualified, high achieving high school students by coordinating the UF online Dual Enrollment program, which includes but is not limited to guiding students and high school counselors through the application and enrollment process and communication with districts and high school officials, and acting as a liaison between online Dual Enrollment students, parents, and instructors.
- Further involves executing processes and procedures concerning student support. Handles individual student cases as they arise during enrollment process and has the authority to make decisions for acceptance and enrollment based on the established qualifying criteria. Works with guidance counselors from partner districts to educate them regarding eligibility requirements, current articulation agreements, and deadlines.
- Participates in student recruitment through on-site and digital marketing efforts. Maintains relationships with high school guidance counselors and other school officials. Maintains digital communication through newsletters and social media.
- Works with Manager of Academic Support Services, and Academic Program Specialist II to create procedures and efficiencies for textbook distribution, course development, and administrative procedures for online dual enrollment. Works with other DCE units to ensure excellent student service for online dual enrollment program participants.
$40,00 - $50,000Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree and four years of relevant experience, experience working with high school students and/or a dual enrollment program. Experience with online learning. Excellent communication and organizational skills.Special Instructions to Applicants:
