Research Assistant Professor - Aging
Research Assistant ProfessorJob Description:
This is a full time (1.0 FTE), 12-month faculty appointment on the multi-mission, research track, in the Department of Aging and Geriatric Research Clinical Research Division.
The incumbent’s initial assignment will be 93% research, 5% service and 2% teaching.
The duties will include conducting independent and collaborative research; aggressively seek and maintain extramural funding; publish in high impact journals; mentor Master's, Doctoral and post-doctoral student research; and perform relevant University of Florida and professional service.
The incumbent will be expected to maintain a nationally recognized externally funded research program, and to integrate his or her research into current and new research enterprises that incorporate expertise in clinical research and translational science in the field of aging
Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to attend the departmental faculty meetings and the interdisciplinary seminar series. The development of research studies, publications and presentations of results will be important measures of academic productivity. The effort distribution may be adjusted according to departmental needs and financial considerations.
Negotiable based on education and experience.Minimum Requirements:
