Job Description:

The Department of Community Health and Family Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, seeks an MD/DO, BC/BE family medicine physician to join at the tenure/non-tenure level of Assistant/Associate Professor assigned to a community based family medicine office at UF Health Family Medicine - Commonwealth.

Major responsibilities include outpatient care, with opportunity for teaching and research, and administrative duties associated with management of clinical practice and supervision of junior physician or non-physician providers. Candidates must be MD/DO, have a Florida Medical License and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice Medicine.

This position is up to full time and will report to the Chair of the department at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville.

Base salary is guaranteed, with significant additional productivity incentives and strong benefits package.

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 15 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. The college offers 32 accredited graduate medical education programs. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.

For practicing physicians, the college offers a continuing medical education program that recruits national and international speakers who are well known and respected in their fields. The campus' faculty, residents and fellows are active in clinical research. Residents and fellows regularly present their findings at locations across the country and publish their projects in well-known publications.
