Job Description Summary:

The Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is a doctoral program for full-time doctoral students. The core areas are leadership, organizational change, adult learning and organizational culture. The program encourages students to challenge assumptions about organizations and change through critical reflection, research, and scholarship and strengthening the bridge between scholarship and practice. This doctoral program is seeking an individual who will strategically define and lead the program for academic success through strategic and effective management of all marketing, academic, operational and fiscal aspects. Additionally, this position will be responsible for creating strategic partnerships with the business community to implement program curriculum initiatives and communicating with university officials setting mid and long-term program strategies to meet enrollment initiatives and expand programs. This position reports to the ELP faculty lead and will manage three full-time staff and up to 4 temporary wage hires. The successful individual must be able to work two Saturdays a month on a predetermined cohort program schedule.
The key responsibilities include:

Create strategic direction, lead and oversee all aspects of the Executive Leadership Program (ELP) operations.
Direct all strategic (mid to long term), and operational decisions of the academic program. This includes strategically defining, leading and providing oversight in all aspects of the program including curriculum, marketing and recruitment, course scheduling, assignment of academic advisors, assignment of faculty, student performance issues, registration and tuition issues, comprehensive exam process, course evaluations, alumni relations, etc.
Program leader and contact point for the department and university.
Directs recruitment and marketing for the program.
Sets faculty loads and hires adjunct faculty in coordination with faculty lead.
Oversees and creates program budgets. Sets revenue projections (five year projections based primarily on tuition revenue) in coordination with department chair and ELP faculty lead. Has budget authority.
Leads and manages ELP staff.
Leads and/or participates on university committees as needed related to program academic and fiscal operations.
Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Excellent ability to assess and solve complex problems related to academic and fiscal areas in a timely resolution.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, self-motivated, a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Self-starter, results oriented leader who can work and make decisions independently.
Previous supervisory experience required.
MA degree in related field such as higher education strongly preferred.
Able to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels, facilitate decision making and conflict resolution, maintain a positive and constructive demeanor treating all staff, students, and faculty with professionalism, courtesy and respect.
Strong communication, analytic, budgeting and management skills.
