Reporting and Analysis Specialist
Basic Functions: Serve as a report writer for Institutional Advancement, provide business intelligence, and provide administrative support to the department of Advancement Operations.
Essential Job Functions: Design, write and test computer reports using Cognos and other tools and data from the Ellucian Banner ODS. Consult with customers (colleagues) to determine and understand needs in order to proactively offer business intelligence tailored to their project, goal, or scenario. Provide data visualization using tools such as Tableau Desktop. Perform independent analysis of data. Conduct presentations based on business intelligence produced. Provide training to users in Institutional Advancement on Cognos, Banner, and other systems. Generate and compile daily gift receipts, monthly pledge reminders, and presidential acknowledgment letters. Provide support as assigned to the Assistant Director of Operations for Systems, the Assistant Director of Operations for Gifts and Records, and the Director of Advancement Operations. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma required. Experience with report writing, business intelligence, data analytics, or information systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, verbal and communication skills and the ability to handle changing priorities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, train others and acquire new skills as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Two- or four-year college degree. Experience using Cognos, Focus, and Oracle SQL Plus. Experience using Ellucian Banner database and ODS. Experience working in a development office. Familiarity with IRS rules governing charitable contributions. Experience with mail merges and Excel formulas.
Salary: Minimum rate of pay is $18.01/hr
