Job Description: Key Responsibilities * Warmly welcome students, faculty and staff at a busy Service Desk; participate in assigned shifts including one evening weekly * Deliver proactive library service to onsite customers and via email, chat and telephone; register/update new visitors, check out and discharge library materials, explain library policy, make relevant referrals, and record Service Desk and other statistics * Provide customer-focused, basic reference and orientation assistance in-person and virtually * Demonstrate access to and teach use of library resources for finding articles, books and databases * Assist library visitors with print/copy service and library access to computers and personal devices * Verify citations for interlibrary loan * Work with the Electronic Resources Librarian on collection maintenance projects including cataloging, link checking and weeding * Work with the Research and Education librarian to review and maintain libguides assets and create research guides * Participate in the library workshop series under the supervision of the project coordinator * Perform other duties as assigned Key Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * Outstanding, user-focused customer service skills * Strong problem solving skills * Proficient with Microsoft Suite * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Collaborate effectively with internal and external customers * Ability to work in a small, dynamic team and independently * Working knowledge of HTML and CSS Preferred Qualifications * Flexible, enthusiastic , sense of humor * Preference will be given to candidates currently enrolled in a Master's in Library and Information Science program from an ALA-accredited institution with completed coursework in Reference * 1 -2 years' experience working in a health sciences or academic library * Strong interest in academic and health sciences librarianship * Ability to work as a team player in maintaining harmonious, cooperative working relationships with administrators, faculty and staff * Strong commitment to working in a busy, diverse and collegial atmosphere that offers opportunities for professional growth * Experience with Primo/Alma and PubMed * Familiarity with Dreamweaver or other web editors

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 1 -2 years' experience working in a health sciences or academic library Preference will be given to candidates currently enrolled in a Master's in Library and Information Science program from an ALA-accredited institution with completed coursework in Reference
