Demonstrates dignity and respect for patient and family for patient and family knowledge, values, beliefs, and cultural background in the planning and delivery of care.

Provides information sharing ensuring patients and families receive timely, complete and accurate information in order to effectively participate in care and decision-makings.

Encourages patient and family participation in care and decision-making at the level they choose.

Promotes collaboration with patients and families in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation in health care facility design, professional education, and delivery of care.

Predoctoral didactic and clinical teaching in Endodontics. Course director in at least one predoctoral Endodontics course.  Clinical teachin in Endodontics Residency Program.

Provides clinical treatment for patiens referred to the Department of Endodontics.

Research in biological science, materials science or biomedical engineering.  Clinical research within the scope of the specialty of Endodontics.

Participates in continuing education activites orgainized by the Department of Endodontics and at the national/internaitonal level.  Involves in service committees within the Dental College of Georgia

Minimum Requirements  

1.  CODA approved certificate in Endodontics

2.  Masters or PhD in biological sciences or materials science or biomedical engineering

3.  Teaching license approved by the Georgia Board of Dentistry to practice clinical endodontics and teaching predoctoral and postdoctoral clinic. 

Preferred:

Board Certification in Endodontics (not a preferred requirement for recruiting purpose)
