Job Description Summary:

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral scientist position in the laboratory of Dr. Colin N. Young at The George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. Current projects are focused on the central nervous system mechanisms underlying the development of hypertension, obesity and cardio-metabolic disorders, with a specific emphasis on endoplasmic reticulum stress, transcription factor activation, redox signaling and the renin-angiotensin system. A wide range of multidisciplinary approaches in murine models are used including whole animal cardiovascular and metabolic physiology, advanced in vivo imaging techniques, and genetic/molecular neuroscience strategies. Highly motivated individuals with a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline and demonstrated research productivity are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications:

Require’s a PhD in the field or in a related area.

Documented evidence of research productivity in field, along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
