Job description

Duties: The clinician will participate in the patient care and teaching activities of the Large Animal Medicine/Emergency/ Critical care services in the New Bolton Center Large Animal Hospital. Duties will include daytime responsibility leading one of the Neonatology, High risk pregnancy and healthy mare foaling programs. After hours call of 1 wk-night per week and 1 wknd per month is expected, except during NICU service when this may be increased. The clinician will also participate in pre-clinical training such as didactic lectures and teaching laboratories for Veterinary students.
Daytime supervision of an Internal Medicine service (Medicine, ECC, NICU, Foaling Mares) After-hours emergency on-call for Medicine ECC and NICU. Teaching veterinary students. Supervising and training residents and interns

Qualifications: VMD/DVM or equivalent; 5 years to 7 years of experience.
Board Certification in Large Animal Internal Medicine
Expertise in management of critically ill neonatal patients
Excellent communication skills
