HRIS SYSTEMS ANALYST/SR
Duties: The HRIS Systems Analyst supports HR transformation through human capital management (HCM) systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure data integrity and analysis of business processes. The HRIS Systems Analyst will oversee the configuration, efficiency and effectiveness of the University's HCM system as well as how the system interfaces with other proprietary and third-party systems/solutions. This role will support and maintain several aspects of the system, including compensation, time and attendance, recruiting and onboarding, etc. This position will be responsible for being part of the initial implementation team, working with consulting resources and subject matter experts on system design, configuration and business processes. Ongoing, this position will:
* Proactively partner with end-users to identify opportunities for business process improvement through better leverage or enhancement of existing systems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes and share best practices.
* Analyze issues concerning systems affecting internal and external customer; this may include software issues, software changes, and/or new software packages. Provide excellent customer support for global internal and external customers regarding system issues and outages. Liaise with vendors when escalated issues arise.
* Develop and implement system enhancements based on requests from customers and educated recommendations. Grant security and permissions within the system and create new user groups and roles as required. Partner with business partners to roll out new functionality and modules to promote HR transformation.
* Perform initial test setups for new applications, procedures and business processes. Define test criteria and ensure that adequate testing is performed on system modifications to provide quality assurance of data.
This position will last approximately 18-24 months. An end date will be established as the project timeline is finalized. There is potential for this position to become ongoing.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 4 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience with a modern SaaS HCM solution is desired, such as Workday, Oracle or SAP. Expertise in Human Resources processes is required with applicable certifications desired. Knowledge of and experience applying employment-related laws and regulations to systems is desired. The candidate should have knowledge and understanding of business process concepts: includes process mapping, process design and performance management. The position requires the ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to develop and produce accurate, professional and error-free results on a timely basis. The candidate will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, have a strong attention to detail, and be highly organized. Any experience working in a virtual or matrix reporting structure as well as reviewing and documenting business processes is desirable. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office application is required and experience with relational databases is preferred.
