Duties: A full-time research assistant position is available in the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. This work focuses on clinical research questions related to traumatic brain injury. Applicant responsibilities will primarily include administration and analysis of neuropsychological testing and clinical outcome data (50%), collection of and analysis of biofluid biomarker data (20%), and organization and maintenance of a patient database (25%). This position will provide a strong research foundation for individuals interested in continuing their education in graduate or medical school.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: The minimum of a High School diploma and 3 to 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. A BS/BA or coursework in neuroscience, biology, biomedical engineering, psychology or related fields, and past research experience are highly preferred. Experience with the following is strongly preferred: neuropsychological testing administration, database management (e.g. ORACLE, ACCESS) or statistical analysis (e.g. R, SPSS). The candidate must be able to work independently, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Regular contact with potential research subjects will be required.
