The Office of Sponsored Programs within UVAFinance is seeking an Assistant Director of Electronic Research Administration to join their team. The individual in this role assists in managing the development, deployment, use, and ongoing evaluation/benchmarking of
systems and informational tools relating broadly to the pre-award and post-award business functions at the University of Virginia.
The UVAFinance team recently adopted a vision to become the valued and trusted financial partner that the University community turns to first. The Assistant Director of Electronic Research Administration is integral to achieving this vision; he/she will be focused on collaborating widely with internal stakeholders in helping to realize a cohesive vision at the institutional level for data and systems in service to the University's research mission, and consistent with the objectives in the University's strategic plan. The Assistant Director of Electronic Research Administration will serve as a consultant to implement data strategy and provide insights that support the UVAFinance mission and vision. The Assistant Director of Electronic Research Administration will be a champion of lean thinking and collaboration, communicating and negotiating across organizational lines to successfully resource, budget, schedule, and scope the project. The Assistant Director of Electronic Research Administration must represent the UVAFinance core values: to be (1) an impeccable source of information and (2) a collaborative partner; to provide (3) service excellence and (4) communication.
Required qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Considerable (4-7 years) experience maintaining a progressive electronic research administration environment, preferably in a higher education environment.
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 and is commensurate upon qualifications.
