Specific duties include:

Ensuring the comfort of research participants. Placement of arterial and venous catheters in the forearms of research subjects including administration of local anesthetics as part of the procedures. Monitoring these during scanning experiments. Drawing blood samples during scanning experiments. Helping to prepare the samples for analysis. Removing the catheters at the end of the experiments and administering medication for pain or anxiety as needed. Scanning experiments will take place up to several times per week; at other times the RT will help with other aspects of the research program, including participant recruitment and screening.
