Degree and Area of Specialization:
DVM or equivalent
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Private veterinary practice experience or advanced training in Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Parasitology, Microbiology, or some other related discipline is desirable. Prior teaching experience in an academic position or other professional setting is also highly desirable.
License or certificate:
Having a Wisconsin license to practice Veterinary Medicine is desirable.
The University Of Wisconsin-Madison, School Of Veterinary Medicine is searching for an instructor to provide excellent instruction in several courses (Parasitology, Clinical Pathology, Bacteriology, Immunology, and Active Integrated Learning) in the first and second years of the DVM curriculum. This individual will also work with the faculty and course directors to organize the course schedule and topic coverage in the above courses.
The ideal candidate will have strong training in veterinary medicine, a passion for teaching, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to connect with veterinary medical students in a manner that facilitates their overall learning and professional development.
