Senior Manager, Human Resources (#20575) UP 

Position Summary
Manages staff and/or resources to provide specific program or service offerings to internal or external stakeholders. Acts as a site manager for Human Resources functions. Responsible for planning, directing and administering the college human resources functions. Works closely with the HR Support Services and Payroll. Researches problems and recommends solutions within approved policies and procedures. 

Anticipated hire date will be September 1st, 2017.

Job Functions

1.Administers human resources functions including employment and orientation; acts as local liaison with interpretation of compensation and benefits programs. Processes and/or reviews forms for completion and accuracy, including forms for employment, employment contracts, insurance enrollment/claims, performance evaluation, special employment agreements, promotion and termination. 
2.Assists supervisors and employees in understanding HR-related policies; researches problems and recommends solutions through appropriate channels. 
3.Coordinates the employment process by facilitating the formation and training of search committees, serving as a resource to them. 
4.Plans, develops and implements time lines and procedures for college-wide human resources functions including benefits, job evaluation, performance evaluation and special employment agreements. 
5.Oversees new employee orientation. Assists employees in selection of benefits and retirement planning. 
6.Maintains accurate data and produces statistical reports related to affirmative action, turnover, budgeting and employment functions. 
7.May act as a liaison between the employee and HR benefits department to assist in the resolution of related problems. In the process of researching benefits and employment services problems, queries PeopleSoft and legacy HR systems (Colleague and IEBS) as necessary, recommending an avenue for problem resolution. 
8.Develops and presents oral and/or written communications related to performance evaluation, affirmative action and benefits. 
9.Serves as an active member of committees as necessary. 
10.Develops and monitors assigned budget within allocation. 
11.Plans and coordinates training sessions as needed.
12.May plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate programs to provide professional development opportunities and recognize employee achievements. 
13.In connection with the Director of Compliance, may serve as a resource to staff regarding such issues as civil rights, ADA and sexual harassment. 
14.Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least 5 years of human resources experience; with at least 3 of those years in a Manager- or Director-level position.

Hiring Salary is $63,976
