Position Summary:

Design, develop, plan and market campus events and venues, including logistical needs, resource allocation, and records management. Prioritize and allocate resources, develop and maintain positive customer/donor relationships, and enforce safety protocols.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

Work with the Curator of Exhibitions to engage the campus and community with programing and publications that promote the understanding and appreciation of the visual arts and culture.

Cultivate and diversify audience patronage and engagement.

Work with faculty and staff to develop a visiting artists lecture and workshops series.

Work with Curator of Exhibitions to develop educational programming relevant to exhibitions and docent training for student interns.

Work with the Curator of Exhibitions to establish the Melton Gallery as a learning laboratory and center for creativity and experimentation.

Develop community partnerships through the creation of collaborative projects.

Strategically plan community outreach and public art programs.

Participate in campus and community arts advocacy and arts leadership programs.

Enhance and raise the public profile of the Melton Gallery.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary: $17.39 per hour ($36,181 annually)
