This position will serve as a key member of both the Maloof and Schoene labs in the Department of Geosciences.
The researcher will be responsible for (1) preparation of geological samples for analysis on mass spectrometers; (2) running samples on a continuous source isotope ratio mass spectrometer and other spectrometers as appropriate; and (3) general lab maintenance such as ordering consumable supplies, scheduling equipment usage, monitoring equipment performance for unexpected variations and following recommended maintenance schedules for equipment.
Experience with geological sample preparation and analysis of samples of mass spectrometers is required. Degree in Geosciences or closely related field is essential. Knowledge of MatLab required.
