Associate Director, Admissions/Registration
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, the person in this position oversees the College of Graduate Studies recruitment efforts. This individual will also be responsible for communicating and collaborating with Graduate School Admissions staff and College-level staff and program directors across the campus to strengthen and strategize UCF graduate recruitment efforts.
Establish progressive business practices around graduate recruitment for the College of Graduate Studies.
Determine and define appropriate graduate student prospect pools for the College of Graduate Studies and its various graduate programs. This includes non-degree, certificate, and degree applicants.
Coordinate/plan relevant and contemporary activities and events to encourage wider recruitment participation across the institution. Some of these activities may be at the college-level or with individual programs. This will require an in-depth knowledge of enrollment needs across the various graduate programs at UCF.
Conduct relevant research efforts to assess the effectiveness of recruitment practices within the College of Graduate Studies and across the campus. The analysis and review of these efforts will lead to the establishment of best practices, policies, and procedures for recruiting and marketing around graduate education.
Analyze the current and future recruitment climate to determine where appropriate College of Graduate Studies staff should travel to recruit prospective graduate students.
Work with graduate program coordinators to support their recruitment efforts. This could include providing information on what undergraduate or graduate fairs to attend or how to hold an on-campus recruitment event.
Travel to represent UCF Graduate Education at a variety of recruitment events within Florida. Some out-of-state travel may be necessary.
Support the College of Graduate Studies in the recruitment of a diversified graduate student population.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications for the Office of Research and Commercialization and the College of Graduate Studies to establish innovative marketing and communication’s campaigns around graduate recruitment at UCF. This would include marketing and communication efforts that speak to both internal and external graduate constituents.
Remain current with contemporary research and literature that focuses on graduate recruitment. Involvement in relevant recruitment societies and associations is expected.
