Dean of Students
Tusculum College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Dean of Students. This position oversees all areas of student affairs program including residential life, housing, multicultural affairs, recreational and student activities, student conduct, health and counseling services. The Dean of Students directs and supervises the members of the student affairs staff and also serves as critical incident response coordinator for student issues and institutional Title IX coordinator. This position coordinates co-curricular programming in support of the holistic development of all members of the student body and also serves as an advocate for student concerns and issues with the AVPAA SE. This position reports to the Associate-Vice President of Academic Affairs Student Success and Engagement. Qualified candidates should apply according to the application process noted in this listing.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Successful candidate shall possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Student Life/Personnel in higher education, counseling or related field, doctoral degree preferred and a minimum of seven years in student life with increasing responsibilities, preferably at a private liberal arts institution. Candidates must demonstrate adequate experience and understanding of student development theory, best practices in student engagement, high impact practices and experience with student conduct, Title IX, Clery reporting and risk management.
