Position Announcement: Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing

Description

The College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Marketing at the Assistant/Associate level beginning August 2018. Salary and benefits are competitive with peer institutions.  Responsibilities include teaching nine credit hours per semester; research leading to refereed journal publications; and service at the department-, college- and/or university-level. The College of Business at UTC has a long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves approximately 2,000 students, and has a collegial faculty.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Marketing or be in the ABD stage of their doctoral studies with expected completion of the Ph.D. prior to their start date of August 2018. Demonstrated ability to provide instruction in a variety of modalities (including online) either through graduate studies, training, or experience, is also required. Successful candidates will also demonstrate willingness to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC’s Strategic Plan. Preferred candidates will have a focus in international marketing with some industry experience. Primary teaching responsibilities will include marketing management and international marketing courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.
