Duties/Responsibilities

Teach 15 credit hours per semester, including all required laboratories. Teach General Biology and General Ecology, or General Genetics, or other upper-division biology courses in candidate’s area of expertise.

Required Qualifications

Earned Doctorate in Biology or closely related field by July 1, 2017.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to teach General Biology and General Ecology, or General Genetics, or other upper-division biology courses in candidate’s area of expertise; as evidenced by teaching experience, research experience, graduate training, and/or professional expertise.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population including (but not limited to) students of color, LBGTQIA students, students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation students, students with disabilities, undocumented students, non-traditional students, student veterans, and English-language learners.
