Professional Research Assistant
Full-time research position in the laboratory of Kristi Kuhn, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus. Our research focuses upon how the microbiome develops the intestinal mucosa and influences systemic immune responses. We are particularly interested in these processes with relevance to autoimmune diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, spondyloarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Job responsibilities include breeding and maintaining mouse colonies, mouse modeling of human disease, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, tissue culture, RNA isolation and qPCR, and immune assays such as ELISAs and Western blots.
