Visiting Assistant Professor of School Psychology
The School Psychology Program in the School of Education at The University of South Dakota is pleased to announce a Visiting Assistant or Associate professor position for our NASP-accredited Ed.S. and Ph.D. programs. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses, providing advising and dissertation direction, supervising practicum students, and preparing research for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Additional teaching assignments may be made based on professional and academic background and the needs of the Division. Faculty members are expected to make contributions in teaching, research, and service, and first and foremost to mentor students in and out of the classroom. An earned doctorate, or completed by August 21, 2017, in School Psychology is required. Preference will be given to those graduating from NASP or APA accredited programs. Applicant must show evidence of accomplishments or strong potential for success in teaching, research leading to publication, grant writing, and professional service. Preference will be given to candidates who are eligible for licensure as a psychologist in South Dakota. Candidates with a diverse background are encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. This is a nine-month, term appointment.
