Graduate Admissions Counselor
Responsible for various areas of student success either in Admissions, Career Services, Financial Aid, etc.; can recruit freshmen and transfer students from high schools & community colleges; makes presentations to student groups; counsels students and parents regarding the admissions process OR coordinate campus scholarships; manage programs for students receiving financial aid; process, track, monitor all institutional scholarships; provide financial aid counseling OR be responsible for recruitment, marketing and customer service for KSU Graduate Programs, etc.; analyze transcripts and other documents to determine eligibility.
Provide professional counseling to students in group or individual settings;
Candidate will manage communication in all forms with prospective applicants to The Graduate College. Process begins from initial interest through admission to Kennesaw State University Graduate College and its collective 90+ programs. The GAC will guide prospective students through the application process, communicate application status, work with university and federal regulations to facilitate admission to the Graduate College.
Guiding prospective students through the application process from initial walk-in, phone call, or internet interest through the completion of the application the GAC will assist academic and non academic departments with program development, advisement, guidance and counseling for the prospective student.
The GAC will work closely with a team of other counselors, processors and managers with in the Office of Graduate Admissions to ensure the efficient, timely and constant movement of applications from start to finish. Administrative duties including scanning, using Nolij, use of Banner for advising, responding to email correspondence outside of advising; day to day administration of all applicant files using the Hobsons' Radius system.

Working knowledge of CRM use.
Proven customer service skills.
Knowledge of SEVIS rules a plus.
