Assistant Director of Admission and Multicultural Recruitment
Washington & Jefferson College seeks an articulate, responsible, and highly energetic person for the Assistant Director of Admission and Multicultural Recruitment position. This position will focus on achieving the Goals for W&J’s Sustainable Enrollment Competitive Advantage through active student recruiting with a particular focus on students with a multicultural background. This position will work closely with the Offices of Academic Affairs, and Student Life, Athletics and other departments to create unique on and off campus recruiting experiences for students and their families.
This position participates in all aspects of recruiting and is primarily responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of multicultural students. Duties include energetically developing and implementing a multicultural recruiting plan, management of a recruitment territory, communicating with applicants, their families and high school counselors, coordinating and participating in on and off-campus recruiting events, interviewing students, and reviewing applications.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to be efficient and work independently while also being able to collaborate effectively in a group setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Previous professional experience in admission preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
