Job Description Summary

Assists with the management, interpretation, and presentation of departmental databases.



Job Responsibilities

Develop and manage departmental databases

Collect and prepare statistical information and data for related projects and initiatives

Assist department Director in transitioning to new database

Assist in ensuring the accuracy and relevance of data as it relates to project and initiative directives

Performs other duties as assigned



Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor's degree
o Significant related experience may substitute for education

Minimum of three years of demonstrated advanced Microsoft Access & Excel experience

Demonstrated experience with software programming, report generation, developing databases, and analysis

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Ability to train employees and/or clients in computer software applications

Ability to work effectively in team situation

Ability to successfully and consistently perform duties and responsibilities listed in job description

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment with limited supervision

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

Certification in MS Access and/or Excel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Demonstrated experience working in an institution of higher education

Demonstrated experience preparing statistical retention and persistence data, graphs, and charts
