Job Description
The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time, 11-month faculty position. Individual will serve as faculty in organizational leadership/nursing administration and nursing informatics concentrations. In addition to teaching, service and research/scholarship activities are expected. Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with the level of informatics practice, teaching, organizational leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate.

The faculty member would provide didactic, online instruction and practicum mentoring of leadership and informatics students in clinical settings. We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge and/or experience of: Masters in Nursing Administration, Organizational Leadership, and Nursing Informatics curricula that align with CCNE, AONE, and ANCC criteria for Nursing Administration and Informatics Practice; the application of innovative online class delivery that meet quality matter requirements; and scholarship application. Must have a serious commitment to the professional development of graduate nursing students, informatics and nursing administration practice, and leadership.


Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in nursing (PhD or DNP) with an unencumbered RN licensure, and relevant nursing and teaching experience. Excellent communication skills, team-building, self-motivation and initiative are expected. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.


Preferred Qualifications
National Certification in informatics nursing and/or nursing administration is recommended but not required.
