Job Description
The College of Nursing, University of South Carolina, is seeking a qualified candidate eligible for the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to fill a full-time faculty position. Individual will serve as faculty in AG/ACNP or FNP concentration. In addition to teaching, clinical practice and research/scholarship activities are expected. Faculty appointment and salary are commensurate with the level of advanced practice clinical practice, teaching, leadership, and scholarship experience of the candidate.

The faculty member would provide didactic instruction and clinical mentoring of NP students in clinical settings. We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge and/or experience of: DNP and Masters Advanced Practice Nursing curricula that align with CCNE and NONPF criteria for Advanced Practice; the application of innovative online class delivery and simulation methodologies; scholarship application; and health policy action/implementation. Must have a serious commitment to the professional development of graduate nursing students, clinical practice, and leadership.


Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in nursing (PhD or DNP) or in progress; two years of teaching and mentoring of NP students; unencumbered licensure as an APRN (ACNP, AGACNP or FNP); National Certification as an ACNP, AGACNP or FNP; and two years of direct practice as an APRN (ACNP, AGACNP or FNP) with Prescriptive Authority or eligibility in SC. Excellent communication skills, team building, self-motivation, and initiative are expected. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
