The University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites nominations and applications for an innovative and collaborative leader from the Information Systems discipline to serve as the Head of the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the Joseph M. Bryan School of Business and Economics .
The Bryan School is the largest business school in the Piedmont Triad and the third largest in the state of North Carolina, enrolling 3,214 undergraduates and 464 graduate students. The Bryan School is among the top 1.1 percent of business schools worldwide that have achieved accreditation in both business and accounting by AACSB International.
The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM) is one of six academic departments within the Bryan School. The next Head will lead a creative and productive faculty in a department committed to graduating students who are principled leaders and exceptional problem solvers with a commitment to improve and sustain organizations in a global environment and the communities in which they live. The Department has fostered strong partnerships with external partners in the corporate, government, health care, and non-profit arenas, as well as established a supportive Advisory Board and a growing alumni network. The ISSCM Department has 11 diverse, accomplished, and deeply seasoned full-time faculty members with two additional faculty members starting this fall. More than 400 students major and/or minor in Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, and more than 150 students are enrolled in the Doctoral, Master's, and Graduate Certificate programs.
The Department Head reports to the Dean. In addition to teaching a 1:1 load, the Head provides strategic academic leadership for the Department. S/he is responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of policies and initiatives relevant to all aspects of its academic programs, research, instructional technology, student development, enrollment management, and regional, national and global engagement.

- Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field
- Established record of success in scholarship in top journals, professional service, and effective teaching commensurate with appointment as a full professor with tenure within the Bryan School
- Three years of academic leadership experience
