The University of Colorado Cancer Center has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) CEPEG Survey Research Coordinator position.
The Community Epidemiology and Program Evaluation Group (CEPEG) is housed in the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC), located on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The UCCC is Colorado's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, a distinction recognizing its outstanding contributions to research, clinical trials, prevention and cancer control. UCCC is a consortium of approximately 400 researchers and physicians at three state universities and three clinical institutions. The Cancer Center is a member of the prestigious National Comprehensive Cancer Network®, an alliance of the nation's leading cancer centers working to establish and deliver the gold standard in cancer clinical guidelines.
CEPEG seeks a survey research coordinator (SRC) to join a multi-mode survey operations unit. The SRC develops and prepares study recruitment materials and communications, including personalization as appropriate; coordinates, implements, and tracks study mailings, including emails, incentives, reminder and retention mailings, and paper surveys, according to defined timelines; tracks inventory to ensure adequate supplies of mailing materials and incentives; prepares administrative paperwork to request funds for incentives; processes returned questionnaires and participant incentives; schedules call-backs in a computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) system; performs quality review of printed and scanned surveys; updates database systems and keeps team members informed of progress; trains, delegates, and provides oversight to student workers who assist with mailings; and reviews and provides timely responses to email and voicemail messages. The position also serves as backup support for CATI interview operations and other survey data collection activities.
Salary and Benefits
The hiring salary for this position is $41,374-$50,000 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

- A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of experience with survey data collection, including communications, recruitment, and tracking of survey participants
- Two or more years of experience with survey data collection.
- Experience with quality assurance in a research setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access databases.
- Experience with REDCap or other translational databases
- Experience with survey software such as Sensus, Design Expert, or Scan Tools
- Ability to handle concurrent projects and components and produce high-quality results.
- Strong oral communication skills, ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships.
- Flexibility to cross-train and partner with colleagues as needed for data and programming needs.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve system and process errors.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
