The University of Kentucky is seeking a qualified physician to join the UK HealthCare Family Practice office in Georgetown, Kentucky. The successful candidate will join two family physicians and two APRNs in a new state-of-the-art primary care facility with a robust and growing panel of patients, supported by an electronic health record.

The practice is focused on ambulatory care Mondays through Fridays; there is no hospital coverage required. The UK HealthCare Georgetown Family Practice functions much like a small private practice, with one of the physicians on-site serving as the medical director.

This position requires occasional mentoring of medical students on-site during their family medicine rotation, and includes a clinical faculty appointment in the UK Department of Family and Community Medicine. Appointment will be at an academic rank commensurate with experience and achievements.

Board eligible or certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or combined Medicine/Pediatrics, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky, and able to obtain and maintain appropriate clinical privileges as a member of the active medical staff of UK Healthcare.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Ability to relate to internal and external constituencies of UK Healthcare and the Medical Center.
