Reporting to the Managing Director, Finance and Administration, the Associate Director, Finance and Administration will have financial oversight for certain strategic global initiatives including foreign charities, representative offices, and University collaborations.  The Associate Director also oversees the Human Resources and Office Administration functions for Global Programs.  The Associate Director is responsible for the direct supervision of Global Programs staff.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:  

Oversee financial operations and budgeting for global initiatives, including foreign charities, representative offices, and University collaborations. Provide leadership and support in efforts to ensure worldwide compliance with multiple financial reporting obligations. Responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of complex budget models to help further the University’s global mission, and design of financial reporting tools to aid senior management in strategic analysis.  It will also include managing the financial operations including, banking, payroll, tax, audit, and other financial operations for these entities or collaborations.  (50%)
Oversee day-to-day Global Programs’ Human Resources and Office Administration functions, in collaboration with the Special Advisor to the Vice President and Associate Provost and Chief of staff, implementing policies, producers, and best practices. Specifically oversee HR operations including, but not limited to, recruitment and staffing strategies, organizational management, employee development, and performance management. Contribute to the support and implementation of university-wide global human resources policies, systems and initiatives. Oversee office operations specifically managing interdepartmental payroll, office workflow, and office procurement needs. Directly supervise staff. (30%)
Support the effort to design, organize and implement a system for reporting and strategic data analytics. (20%)

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required, Masters degree strongly preferred. At least seven years of experience with a minimum of three years of experience in financial management of a complex organization, including experience with global finance and human resource operations. Management experience, exceptional analytical, decision making, interpersonal, writing, communication skills, as well as advanced computer and modeling skills.
