Coordinator – AIMS
Coordinate activities and programs within Adventures in Math and Science (AIMS).
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Two years’ experience working with low income, first generation students, parents, and high school personnel required. Must have knowledge of college admissions, academic requirements, the financial aid process, and web page design. Strong oral and written communication skills and time management skills required. Must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekend.
Preferred: Degree in Math, Science, Computer skills, Health Sciences, Agriculture, Engineering or related field preferred. Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Human Services, Communications or related field preferred.
Responsibilities: Plans workshops and activities for participants during the academic year. Coordinates daytime classes and evening classes during the summer component. Conducts monthly school visits and college preparation workshops. Administers mentoring program, published monthly newsletter, and maintain web page. Coordinates Mentoring and Tutoring Programs.
